How to Participate
Atlanta Junior Golf specializes in offering numerous and affordable tournament playing opportunities across the Greater Atlanta Area. The core of the program, the Summer Series takes place during summer months while school is not in session. Members may play in as many events as they wish during the Summer Series.
Membership is open to juniors of all skill levels between 7 and 18 years of age who have not yet turned 19 and have not yet started college. A junior golfer's age as of June 1 during the current year determines the age for the entire calendar year.

Junior golfers must become members of Atlanta Junior Golf to gain access to the various events, tournaments and seminars offered. The nonrefundable, yearly membership fee is due at the time of joining. Membership is valid from the date of joining until December 31 of the current year.
During Atlanta Junior Golf events, players are divided into 15 different skill and age combinations. Players should identify a division that best suits their skill and interest level (Beginner, 9-Hole or 18-Hole). The 9- and 18-Hole divisions are further divided by age and also ability levels Club and Open. Please see the Divisions and Fees page for more specific details.
Points are awarded to the top 19 finishers in each age group. These points are averaged at the conclusion of the summer and are a part of the criteria for qualifying for Season-Ending Championships (Club Championship, 9-Hole Classic and Grand Championship). Summer Series tournaments are scheduled during the week (Monday – Thursday) at golf courses across the Metro Atlanta area. Tee times generally run between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (although this may vary).
Atlanta Junior Golf firmly believes that knowledge of the Rules of Golf is important for anyone who wishes to play and enjoy the game; most especially junior golfers who wish to compete at any level. Each junior golfer is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the Rules Education policy before they are able to compete in Summer Series events.
